Have you been asked to provide services via Supplementary Aids and Services (SaS)? Or, are you looking for more ideas to help a student succeed in their education?

In this course, Sue will help you make your related services be more “related” to the student’s educational achievement via SaS. She will clarify what is SaS and how it is tied to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She will walk you through the 5 steps of SaS Decision-Making, from ecological assessment to delivery, using decision-making templates and 3 case studies of children in various grade levels and with different disabilities. You will learn where and how to document SaS on the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), as well as the logistics of monitoring SaS implementation and progress. Finally, she will give you pointers and evidence from OT, PT, SLP and education literature to help you advocate for your role in the student’s SaS.

You will leave the course with the Apply EBP SaS Toolkit that includes templates and prompts for the 5 Steps of SaS Decision-making, and SaS Advocacy Talking Points.
